Legado Torrontes - The Wine of the Week UNDER $15

Legado is a winery I am very excited about this year. It is one more in a long line of quality wineries in Argentina brought into the states by William-Harrison Imports.

The Torrontes is bright and super crisp with a nose that pops out of the glass showing floral, honeysuckle and citrus. The palate offers a mix of citrus, melon and stone fruits finishing dry and mouthwatering.

It’s hard to think of a wine more appropriate for summer sipping.

It’s 97 degrees outside, and you know what that means for The Wine Pig, PINK!

Mulderbosch Rose of Cabernet from South Africa is a gorgeous, summery treat that bursts with strawberry, cherry and a light zing of pepperiness. The finish is long and fresh, making this the perfect chilly cure for the dog days of summer!

Lot 205 is a second-label for the always popular folks at Cartlidge and Browne. This California Chardonnay has a nice balance of citrus and tropical flavors such as apple, mango, pineapple and fresh grapefruit. A hint of toasty oak and creaminess blend with crisp acidity to make this a great food wine.
