Susana Balbo’s entry level wines, the Crios (meaning “offspring”) lines provide outstanding value!

This rose of Malbec is juicy and round, while still remaining dry and crisp. With strawberries and cherries on the palate, this is definitely the red-wine drinkers white wine! 90 Points - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

The weather is starting to warm up, which means the time has come to drink PINK!

Parados Winemaker’s Select Red - The Wine of the Week UNDER $15

All I can say about this week’s wine is WOW! I tasted it a few weeks back when Harrison Jones of William-Harrison Imports was in town, and immediately ordered several cases.

A blend of 40% Sangiovese, 40% Tempranillo and 20% Malbec out of Mendoza, Argentina, this wine is for lovers of value! Recently awarded 90 points from the International Wine Review, the Winemaker’s Select Red presents bright and concentrated berry flavors while still remaining nicely balance, making it an excellent food wine.

Try this crowd pleaser this week and see what the fuss is about!

Santa Alicia Malbec - The Wine of the Week UNDER $15

Typically when you are shopping for a Malbec, Argentina comes to mind. However, this week’s wine takes us just a bit west to neighboring Chile.

Intense dark fruit, with floral and spice notes make Santa Alicia’s Reserve Malbec a winner with BBQ, grilled meats, pungent cheeses, or as I can attest, just by itself.

Try it and find out what you’ve been missing from the other side of the Andes mountains!
